CORRESPONDENCE 

Congratulations!  You have made a wise decision to trust Onward to assist you in obtaining your education requirements to become a Texas Realtor.  You have chosen to take the Correspondence delivery method.  You will receive your text books and materials at the shipping address you choose, or you can come to the office at 10210 Quaker, Lubbock, TX and pick them up.  You can study them at your convenience, and take the chapter quizzes as you go along.  You must attend a 1 day review for each course and pass a final exam to qualify for the credit hours. 

You will have earned 180 hours of classroom credit when you finish, which is the TREC requirement to take your exam.

Tuition & Registration:
Pre-registration & tuition payment is required in order to reserve a seat in the classroom. Course materials & textbooks are provided with pre-registration; based on current publication rate and availability, disclosed prior to purchase of course.
The student is responsible for the following fees and charges:
Tuition: $210.00 / 30 hour course
Textbooks: based on current publication rate, disclosed prior to purchase
Attendance Requirements:
Student must attend the entire course, for the stated TREC approved hours. After the instructor starts his/her introduction announcing the class is in session, any unoccupied seats will be made available to “walk-in” students who pay and register.
If a student misses portions of a class, the student must receive written permission from the instructor to continue on the basis of doing the make-up work in a timely manner and pursuant to TREC rules will not be allowed to take the test until said time is made up.
If classes are cancelled due to inclement weather, the instructor will reschedule class.
Makeup Requirements, Re-examination, & Fees:
Texas Real Estate Commission rules require that a student attend at least two thirds of a scheduled course, and must make up any missed classroom time within 90 days of the original class and prior to taking the final examination.
Student must have 70% pass rate. TREC also allows only “one” test re-take, thereafter the student must retake the entire course. A $25.00 makeup fee is charged by the school, per session. According to TREC rules, a student cannot “re-test” earlier than 7 days after last test. A $25.00 pre-payment “re-test” fee is charged by the school. Students attending less than two thirds of a scheduled course are dropped from the class with no credit and no refund.
Refund Policy:
Courses may be cancelled due to lack of enrollment or instructor and tuition refunded.
Pre-payment & acceptance notice to the student guarantees a seat in the class for “on time” arrivals (see attendance requirement) subject to cancellation only by the school.
Onward School of Real Estate requires cancellation notice no later than (5) business days before the start of class. Full refunds will be awarded if proper notice is given. No refund will be issued if cancellation occurs less than (5) business days before the start of class or thereafter.
The student has the right to cancel the enrollment agreement within the terms outlined above and obtain a refund. The student may cancel this enrollment agreement and receive a refund by submitting a written notice of cancellation to Onward School.
Students who cancel this contract by notifying the school within (5) business days are entitled to a full refund of all tuition and fees paid minus a $35.00 per 30 hour course, cancellation fee. Students who withdraw after (5) business days before the start of class or after the commencement of class will not receive a refund of tuition or fees paid.
1. The student may cancel this contract at any time prior to midnight of the 5th business day before commencement of classes.
2. All refunds will be made within 30 days from the date of termination. The official date of termination or withdrawal of a student shall be determined in the following manner:
A. The date of which the school receives notice of student’s intention to discontinue the training program; or
B. The date on which the student violates published school policy, which provides for termination.
3. The student will receive a full refund of tuition and fees paid if the school discontinues a course/program within a period of time a student could have reasonably completed it.
NON TRANSFER - No transfer of name is allowed.
Refunds are mailed to desired address within 30 days of receipt of written notice. There is a $25.00 per class registration fee that is non-refundable. Add $25.00 if paying day of class. No refunds on textbooks. No refunds on Prep.
Classroom Conduct:
No smoking in classroom. Student cellular phones, pagers, PDA’s, computers etc. will be turned off during the class. Students should make arrangements accordingly. Students will be dismissed from the class without refund for disruptive behavior.
Certificate of Completion:
The school will be excited to provide the student with a Certificate of Completion after course completion and final examination passed according to TREC rules and regulations.
